Voter Information Card
If you haven't received your yellow voter information card in the mail by May 25th, contact your local returning office to find out where you vote.
There are lots of voting opportunities. They are set out below.
List of Electors
It's easy to make sure your name is on the List of Electors. You can:
- Apply at the returning office in your electoral district. The Returning Officer will add your name to the List and also tell you what polling station you will vote at based on your civic address. Be sure to bring appropriate ID.
- Apply at your polling station. The Deputy Returning Officer or Revision Assistant will add your name to the List using a Certificate to Vote. Be sure to bring appropriate ID.

How to Vote

ID Requirements
ID is not required to vote in a Nova Scotia provincial election. However, if you are not already on the List of Electors, identification will be required as part of the registration process to be put on the list.
Here are the requirements:
- One document with your name, civic address and signature (e.g., driver's license)
- or - - Two documents: one with your name and civic address and one with your name and signature (e.g., health card and utility bill)
